Tallinn, Estonia | June 3–4, 2025
STC partners met in Tallinn for the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting to shape the future of sustainable textile training.
Main Focus: How do we teach the teachers?
Partners explored how to deliver effective training to professionals in the textile and fashion sector who may have little or no prior teaching experience.
Key outcomes:
A hybrid model: 50% self-paced e-learning, 50% face-to-face sessions
Creation of an STC E-book & handouts for trainers and learners
Emphasis on practical delivery tools like session plans, structured presentations, and activity guides
The aim is to make sustainability education accessible, structured, and trainer-ready.

Study Visit Report
As part of the first day of the STC project's Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) in Tallinn, all project partners participated in an organized study visit to the premises of the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA). The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the consortium to explore EKA’s specialized facilities in fashion design and textile production, which host advanced technological and creative workshops.
The guided tour included:
Fashion design and sewing workshops: Partners observed professional dress forms, industrial sewing machines, and innovative techniques for garment construction and fabric manipulation. Student projects were also presented, showcasing sustainable and experimental approaches to fashion creation.
Textile workshops: The consortium visited EKA’s weaving studios, where they explored hand-operated looms and traditional weaving tools used to train students in fabric production using natural and recyclable fibers.
This study visit enriched the partners' understanding of sustainable practices in fashion and textile education. It also served as inspiration for the integration of hands-on learning and circular design principles into the educational content of the STC project.
